EUGENE, Mo. (August 6, 2024) – The final round of the Missouri Junior Tour Championship concluded today at Redfield Golf Course & Country Club in Eugene. Despite a windy day on the course, the junior golfers displayed skill and determination in this invitation-only event, which is based on performance throughout the MJT season.
In the 16-18 Boys division, Jackson Marcee (St. James) claimed first place, shooting an impressive 5-under today. Starting strong with an eagle on hole one and five birdies throughout the round, Marcee finished with a total gross score of 7-under, 137. Chayton Jordan (Rolla) led for the first nine holes today, shooting 5-under on the front nine, but a double bogey on 17 and a bogey on 18 brought his score to 1-under, 71 for the day, and a total of 3-under, 141, earning him second place. Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) took third, with a score of 5-over today, totaling 1-over, 145 overall, with four birdies during round two.
In the 16-18 Girls division, Avery Wells (Eldon) secured first place with a total score of 17-over, 161, shooting 7-over today with two birdies. Audrey Smith (Rolla) and Mia McGraw (Jefferson City) tied for second with scores of 27-over, 171. McGraw improved her score by three strokes to catch Smith, but Smith won the chip off for the silver medal, leaving McGraw with the bronze.
The 14-15 Boys division saw Lake Bennett (Linn) finish with a five-stroke lead to take first place. Despite a challenging round of 3-over, 75 today, he finished with even par, 144 overall, including three birdies during round two. Crue Michel (Sunrise Beach) earned second place, shooting 1-under, 71 today, with five birdies on the front nine, for a total score of 5-over, 149. Blayne Altermatt (Mountain View) took third place with a total score of 11-over, 155, improving his round one score by nine strokes to shoot 1-over, 73 today.
In the 14-15 Girls 18-hole division, Haven Evers (Eldon) earned first place with a total score of 9-over, 153. Aliyah Simmons (Columbia) finished second with a score of 29-over, 173.
In the 14-15 Girls 9-hole division, Camdyn Jones (Knob Noster) was the sole competitor, finishing with a total score of 28-over, 100 over the two days.
The 12-13 Boys 18-hole division saw Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) come in first with a total score of 2-over, 146, shooting 2-over today with three birdies. Graham Henley (Eldon) shot 1-under, 71 today for a total score of 7-over, 151, with four birdies during round two. Bubba McGraw (Jefferson City) earned third place with a total score of 21-over, 165.
In the 12-13 Boys 9-hole division, Reid Hampton (Tipton) earned first place with a score of 14-over, 86, shooting 5-over today with three birdies. Grant Darr (Kirksville) took second place with a total score of 25-over, 97, and Hudson Gray (Eldon) took third with a score of 30-over, 102.
The 10-13 Girls division saw Drew Maze (Columbia) earn first place with a total score of 13-over, 85, shooting 5-over today. Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) earned second place with a total score of 24-over, 96. Ashtyn Shaw (Jefferson City) and McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) tied for third place with scores of 28-over, 100, with Shaw winning the chip off for the bronze medal.
In the 10-11 Boys division, Tyson Strupp (Columbia) shot even par for a total score of 6-over, 78, with two birdies today. Finn Hutchison (Mokane) earned second place with a total score of 10-over, 82, and Henry Russell (Fulton) earned third with a total score of 15-over, 87.
The 8-9 Girls division saw Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) take the top spot with a total score of 18-over, 90. Reagan Sears (Columbia) took second with a score of 33-over, 105, and Allison Knaebel (Columbia) earned third with a total score of 44-over, 116.
In the 8-9 Boys division, Logan Knaebel (Columbia) was the only competitor. He shot even par today with two birdies, finishing with a total score of 2-over, 74.

This invitation-only event, based on performance throughout the MJT season, will see junior golfers from across the state competing in a challenging two-day, 18-hole stroke play format.
Redfield Golf Course, known for its stunning 6,720-yard links-style layout, features six lakes, 42 bunkers, bent grass fairways, and six sets of tees, providing a demanding yet fair test for golfers of all skill levels. With four par 5’s, ten par 4’s, and four par 3’s, the course’s diverse design showcases the talents of these young athletes.
Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) leads the 16-18 Boys Division at 4-under, 68, with five birdies and an eagle today. Chayton Jordan (Rolla) and Jackson Marcee (St. James) are tied for second at 2-under, 70. Jordan had four birdies and an eagle, while Marcee recorded four birdies and just two bogeys.
In the 16-18 Girls Division, Avery Wells (Eldon) sits atop the leaderboard with a 10-over, 82. Audrey Smith (Rolla) is in second place at 14-over, 86, followed by Mia McGraw (Jefferson City) in third place at 15-over, 87.
Lake Bennett (Linn) is leading the 14-15 Boys Division at 3-under, 69, with three birdies and an eagle today. Crue Michel (Sunrise Beach) is in second place at 6-over, 78. Eli Hutchison (Mokane) and Anthony Russell (Fulton) are tied for third at 8-over, 80.

Drew Maze (Columbia) is in first place in the 10-13 Girls Division at 8-over, 44. Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) follows in second place at 10-over, 46, while Ashytn Shaw (Jefferson City) and Lily Caudle (Holts Summit) are tied for third place at 15-over, 51.
In the 10-11 Boys Division, Finn Hutchison (Mokane) leads with a 2-over, 38. Tyson Strupp (Columbia) is in second place at 6-over, 42, and Calvin Sears (Columbia) and Henry Russell (Fulton) are tied for third at 8-over, 44.
Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) is in first place in the 8-9 Girls Division with a score of 6-over, 42. Reagan Sears (Columbia) holds second place at 15-over, 51, and Allison Knaebel (Columbia) is in third place at 23-over, 59.
Logan Knaebel (Columbia) leads the 8-9 Boys Division with a score of 2-over, 38.

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.
The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club.
