FARMINGTON, Mo. (July 11, 2024) — The second and final round of the 2024 Missouri Junior Amateur Championship at Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington concluded yesterday, overcoming weather delays to showcase outstanding performances by the state’s top young golfers. Congratulations to Page Bowman and Ian Lambert on their impressive victories!

“It feels great to win this week. The first day was really fun because I felt like I was in control of my shots, and my putts were dropping. The second day was a little bit of a different story because I wasn’t hitting it as well and didn’t make as many putts, but I was still able to get it done,” Bowman said, reflecting on her win. “Overall, I’m pleased with my performance and happy with the outcome.”

Morgan Withington (St. Louis, Class of 2025) and Avery McLaughlin (Town and Country, Class of 2025) tied for second place with total gross scores of 4-over, 148. Both girls recently competed for Team Missouri in the Junior Girls’ Four State Championship. Withington attends MICDS and McLaughlin attends Visitation Academy.

FARMINGTON, Mo. (July 9, 2024) — The second round of the 27th Missouri Junior Amateur Championship, scheduled to take place today at Crown Pointe Golf Club, was disrupted by rain, rendering the course unplayable.

Originally, tee times were pushed back to 9 a.m this morning, delaying the start by an hour and a half. However, continuous rain and poor course conditions ultimately led to the decision to postpone the day’s play entirely.

The initial plan for today included making a cut, narrowing the field to the top 40% of both girls and boys. This would have resulted in only 16 girls and 40 boys advancing to the final round.

With the revised schedule, all participants will now play tomorrow, with the winners to be crowned and awarded at the conclusion of the round.
