SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (June 20, 2024) – Brooke Biermann (Wildwood) has emerged as the champion of the 94th Missouri Women’s Amateur Championship at Hickory Hills Country Club!
Biermann, a rising senior golfer at Michigan State University, delivered an impressive performance in the final round, shooting 2-under-par, 70. Her round included an eagle, two birdies, and just two bogeys, bringing her total score to 5-under-par, 211 (73, 68, 70).
“Today, I just played steady golf. Both of the girls I was playing with were steady too, so I was just trying to stay patient out there,” Biermann said, reflecting on her round. “I was trying to focus on myself.”
Biermann started the tournament tied for fourth place after an opening round of 1-over-par, 73, which featured three birdies. She surged to the top of the leaderboard with a standout second round of 4-under-par, 68, thanks to five birdies, four of which came on the back nine.
“Golf is a crazy game. You never know when it’s your time,” Biermann said.
With her victory, Biermann has earned an exemption into the U.S. Women’s Amateur at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa.
“I am so excited to play in the U.S. Women’s Amateur. I’ve been to Southern Hills before, and I have such good memories there, so I’m so excited to go back,” she said.
In a close contest for the runner-up title, Reagan Zibilski (Springfield), Lyla Louderbaugh (Buffalo), and Grace Kilcrease (Springdale) finished tied for second place, each with a gross score of 1-under-par, 215. Zibilski was awarded the runner-up trophy due to her final round score of 5-under-par, 67, which was the lowest of the three. She shot 1-over-par, 74 in both of the first two rounds.
Louderbaugh was tied for the lead after the first day with an even-par, 72. She moved into second place after the second round, shooting 2-under-par, 70, and finished the tournament with a birdie on hole 18 to secure her tie for second.
Kilcrease also started strong, tying for the lead after the first round with an even-par, 72. She slipped to third place after the second round with a 1-under-par, 71, but her four birdies in the final round helped her maintain a spot in the top four.
In the Amateur Open Division, Christine Tran (Columbia) claimed first place with a total score of 53-over-par, 269 (91, 90, 88). Following closely, Nanette Baker (St. Louis) secured second place at 54-over-par, 270 (90, 84, 96), while Nancy Rahlmeyer (Springfield) took third place at 107-over-par, 323.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (June 19, 2024) – Brooke Biermann (Wildwood) leads the field at 3-under, 141 after the second round of 18-hole stroke play at the 94th Annual Missouri Women’s Amateur Championship held at Hickory Hills Country Club in Springfield.
Biermann, a rising senior at Michigan State University, advanced from fourth place after the first round. Her impressive performance today, with five birdies and just one bogey, earned her a second-round score of 4-under, propelling her into the top spot. Biermann boasts the highest World Amateur Golf Ranking in the field at 237.
Close on her heels is Lyla Louderbaugh (Buffalo), who posted a 2-under-par, 70 today, bringing her total to 2-under, 142. Louderbaugh, a rising sophomore at the University of Kansas, recorded five birdies during her round.
Currently in third place is Grace Kilcrease (Springdale). Kilcrease, a rising junior at the University of Tulsa, shot 1-under today, improving her first-round score by one stroke. She made two birdies and limited her bogey count to one, resulting in a total score of 1-under, 142.
Mia Rallo (Wentzville) had a notable performance today, placing her in fourth. Rallo shot an impressive 4-under, 68, improving her first-round score by eight strokes to achieve even-par, 144. Rallo is a rising junior at the University of Central Missouri.
In the Open Division, Nanette Baker (St. Louis) maintained her lead despite shooting 18-over today, bringing her total to 30-over, 174. Christine Tran (Columbia) follows with a score of 37-over 181, and Nancy Rahlmeyer (Springfield) remains in third at 70-over, 214.
The competition continues with the third and final round of 18-hole stroke play tomorrow at Hickory Hills Country Club. Tee times start at 7:30 a.m. and run until 11:20 a.m., with all players teeing off from the first hole.

Louderbaugh, a rising sophomore at the University of Kansas, recorded four birdies during her round. Kilcrease, a rising junior at the University of Tulsa with a World Amateur Golf Ranking of 367, secured three birdies. Bell, the youngest competitor in the field at just 13 years old, achieved an impressive five birdies, with four coming on the back nine.
Close behind, Megan Propeck (Leawood), Meg Tilma (Wichita), and Brooke Biermann (Wildwood) are tied for fourth place. Each shot a 1-over-par, 73. Propeck competes collegiately for the University of Virginia, Tilma for Wichita State University, and Biermann for Michigan State University.
In the Open Division, Nanette Baker (St. Louis) leads after shooting an 18-over-par 90. Christine Tran (Columbia) follows with a 19-over-par 91, while Nancy Rahlmeyer rounds out the top three with a 40-over-par 112.
All golfers will continue with the second round of 18-hole stroke play tomorrow at Hickory Hills Country Club. Tee times start at 7:30 a.m. and run until 11:30 a.m., with all players teeing off from the first hole.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club.
