SMITHVILLE, Mo. – The 39th annual Junior Amateur Championship will take place at Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville from July 10-11. This tournament will consist of 150 male and female golfers from the ages of 14 to 18.

The Junior Amateur will make a return to Paradise Point since it last hosted the event in 2021. All competitors will play 36 holes of stroke play. 

A practice round will be held on Sunday, July 9. Monday, July 10 kicks off the first round of stroke play. There will be tee times off hole 1 and hole 10 starting at 7:30 a.m and 12:30 p.m. The second round on July 11 will follow the same format, with tee times off hole 1 and hole 10 at 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Following the final round, awards will be given to the flight champions.

2022 Junior Amateur Champion Teagen Hull (Eldon) will return this year to defend his title. 

Also included in the field are 2023 Junior Match Play Champions Jonathan Jordan (Rolla) and Siena Minor (Hannibal), Match Play runners-up Anson Munzlinger (Columbia) and Page Bowman (Springfield), and Match Play semifinalists Max Templeman (Carthage), Kate Ryan (Columbia), Noah Naugle (Nixa) and Josey Roberts (Ozark).

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri. The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
