Final Recap
OZARK, Mo. (May 25, 2023) – The final round of the 29th annual Senior Four Ball Championship ended today, May 25, 2023, at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club in Ozark. The tournament hosted 70 teams divided into five flights, the Championship flight being the most competitive.
Out of 42 teams in the Championship division, MGA President Wayne Fredrick (Springfield) and Brian Lovett (St. Louis) came out on top after a strong second round for a gross score of 14 under, 128 (66, 62). The winning duo saw 13 birdies and one eagle over the two rounds.
The team of David Bremer (St. Louis) and Paul Neeman (St. Louis) earned second place after firing an eight under, 63, in round two for a total score of 11 under, 131 (68, 63). Three teams tied for third place, all earning a gross score of nine under, 133: Sean McQueary (Springfield) & David Pfeil (Eureka) (68, 65), Pat O’Neill (St. Louis) & Buddy Allen (Pevely) (64, 69) and Brian Hall (O’Fallon) & John Hughes (O’Fallon) (66, 67).
Tom McHenry (Jefferson City) and A.J. Kroeger (Jefferson City) maintained their round one lead and won the Championship Super Senior Division with a score of eight under, 134 (65, 69). Ron Eilers (Columbia) and Don Kuehn (Kansas City) kept their second place spot after shooting three under for the day, for a gross score of six under, 136 (68, 68). Patrick Warren (Kansas City) and Dave Hornaday (Kansas City) had a great second round today to move up into third place, with a final score of four under, 138 (71, 67).
The following three net divisions have handicap strokes deducted from final scores.
In the 50-59 Net Division, two teams tied for the top spot with a gross score of 11 under, 131: Tim Rinker (West Plains) & Kelly Williamson (Springfield) (63, 68) and Chris Rackers (Jefferson City) & Danny Vaughan (Jefferson City) (64, 67). Rackers & Vaughan won the playoff hole, earning first and giving Rinker & Williamson second. Rounding out the top three is the team of Russell Hinds (Ozark) and Ron Hogue (Springfield) who had a solid second round to move into third, with a gross score of 10 under, 132 (67, 65).
Mike Haymart (Jefferson City) and H. Precythe (Jefferson City) had an amazing first round and were able to secure the win today with a gross score of 14 under, 128 (58, 70). The team of Tim Blasi (Ozark) and Bill O’Dell (Springfield) played a great round today and finished in second at 12 under, 130 (69, 61), and Greg Cartwright (Lake Ozark) and Scott Cartwright (Village of Four Seasons) took home third place with a score of 10 under, 132 (65, 67).
Finally, the final standings in the 70+ Net Division mirrored round one, with Bert Kimble (Jefferson City) and Duane Schreimann (Jefferson City) finishing in first with a gross score of 16 under, 126 (63, 63), Joe Hoette (Weldon Spring) and Wally Obremski (Defiance) in second place at eight under, 134 (69, 65), and Bruce Robert (St. Louis) and Bob Eno (St. Charles) coming in third place at four over, 146 (72, 74).

Day 1 Recap
OZARK, Mo. (May 24, 2023) – The Missouri Golf Association’s 29th annual Senior Four Ball Championship saw its first round today, May 24, 2023, at Millwood Golf & Racquet Club in Ozark. A total of 140 players split into 70 teams competed in today’s round of best ball.
Divided into five different flights, the players hit the links starting with 7:30 a.m. tee times.
Pat O’Neill (St. Louis) and Buddy Allen (Pevely) are leading the Championship Division with a score of seven under, 64. Not far behind, two teams are tied for second place at five under, 66: Brian Hall (O’Fallon) & John Hughes (O’Fallon) and Wayne Fredrick (Springfield) & Brian Lovett (St. Louis).
In the Championship Super Senior Division, which is comprised of players 65 or older, Tom McHenry (Jefferson City) and A.J. Kroeger (Jefferson City) are leading the pack at six under, 65. Two teams are tied for second place: Dennis Osborne (Ballwin) & Don Bliss (Overland Park) and Ron Eilers (Columbia) & Don Kuehn (Kansas City) both shot three under, 68.
There are three net divisions which have handicap strokes deducted from final scores.
In the 50-59 Net Division, Tim Rinker (West Plains) and Kelly Williamson (Springfield) are currently on top at eight under, 63. Right behind them is the team of Chris Rackers (Jefferson City) and Danny Vaughan (Jefferson City) with a score of seven under, 64. Rounding out the top three is Dan Campbell (Jefferson City) and Darren Patterson (Columbia) at six under, 65.
Mike Haymart (Jefferson City) and H. Precythe (Jefferson City) have a dominant lead in the 60-69 Net Division with a score of 13 under, 58. Greg Cartwright (Lake Ozark) and Scott Cartwright (Village of Four Seasons) are following in second at six under, 65, and Arnold Bailey (Linn) and Randy Kay (Jefferson City) are in third with a score of four under, 67.
Finally, Bert Kimble (Jefferson City) and Duane Schreimann (Jefferson City) are leading the 70+ Net Division at eight under, 63, followed by Joe Hoette (Weldon Spring) and Wally Obremski (Defiance) in second at two under, 69, and Bruce Robert (St. Louis) and Bob Eno (St. Charles) in third after shooting one over, 72.

Play will continue tomorrow with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. By the end of the day, the MGA will award the winners of each flight.
The Senior Four Ball Championship is a point event that will contribute to qualification for the Hieronymus Cup Matches at Columbia Country Club in Columbia from October 6-8.
