JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (March 5, 2025) – The Missouri Golf Association is excited to welcome its 2025 summer staff, a group of dedicated individuals who will assist in tournament operations and communications throughout the summer. This year’s team includes returning staff members and former interns, as well as new faces excited to contribute to another successful season of golf across Missouri.

This season, the Missouri Junior Tour will be co-managed by two familiar faces: Parker Gourley and Taylor Hovis.

Parker, a Jefferson City native, returns to the MGA team after interning in 2024. He is currently a junior at the University of Missouri studying Parks, Recreation, Sport, and Tourism with an emphasis in Sport Management. Parker also works as a golf shop attendant at The Club at Old Hawthorne and previously competed as a student-athlete in men’s track & field at Grand View University.

Taylor, also from Jefferson City, has been a part of the MGA team for the past two summers and will now step into a leadership role. She is set to graduate in December from the University of Kansas with a degree in Education Studies. Taylor currently works as a teaching assistant at a daycare and hopes to pursue a career in the golf industry after graduation.

Also joining the MGA team this summer are several interns who will play key roles in tournament operations and communications.

Jacob Anderson, a freshman at MidAmerica Nazarene University, will serve as an operations intern. An Ashland native, Jacob plays on the university’s golf team and is no stranger to MGA events, having competed in numerous Missouri Junior Tour and other junior tournaments throughout his golf career.

Brenden Hess, a junior at the University of Missouri studying Marketing, will also be an operations intern. Brenden brings valuable experience from his role as a sports marketing intern at Mizzou and his work as an event coordinator and sales associate at Midway Golf & Games.

Sophie Hinds, a freshman at the University of Dayton, joins the team as an operations intern. A Jefferson City native, Sophie has been an active competitor in MGA events, earning Missouri Junior Tour Player of the Year honors in 2023. She is also an MWGEA scholarship recipient and is studying Health Science with a concentration in Exercise and Movement Science.

Teagen Hull, from Eldon, Missouri, will also serve as an operations intern. Now a freshman at Western Illinois University studying Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration, Teagen is a three-time Missouri Junior Tour Player of the Year and the 2022 Junior Amateur Champion. He has competed in the Southern Junior Cup and is very familiar with MGA events.

Seth Larson, a senior at Columbia College, brings a multi-sport background to the operations team. Studying Business Administration, Seth is also a member of the Columbia College basketball team and will graduate later this year.

Ashlyn Sanders, a graduate student at Columbia College studying Teaching, joins the operations team as well. She played collegiate golf and currently works as a pro shop attendant at Columbia Country Club. Ashlyn is passionate about growing opportunities for female athletes in the game of golf.

Ty Wood, a sophomore at the University of Missouri studying Parks, Recreation, Sport, and Tourism, will round out the operations intern team. A member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity at Mizzou, Ty looks forward to gaining hands-on experience in golf tournament operations this summer.

In the communications department, Jordyn Runde, a sophomore at the University of Missouri, will serve as the MGA’s communications intern. Originally from Wisconsin, Jordyn is majoring in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing. She currently works as a Mizzou Athletics Marketing intern and is the President of Pi Sigma Epsilon business fraternity.

With a strong mix of experience in golf, event management, marketing, and communications, this group is set to play a big role in ensuring the success of MGA events this summer. Please join us in welcoming the 2025 summer staff!

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the best interests and true spirit of golf throughout the state of Missouri.

Founded in 1905 in St. Louis, the MGA was established to conduct the Missouri Amateur Championship, originally hosted by four founding clubs—St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club, and Normandie Golf Club. In 1909, the invite-only championship expanded to Kansas City’s Evanston Club, and by 1911, the MGA became formally organized under Bonner Miller, its first Secretary and Executive Director. Since then, the MGA has grown to provide a variety of competitive tournaments, junior programs, and resources that support golfers of all ages and skill levels, continuing its mission to grow and enhance the game across Missouri.
