NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (October 2, 2024) – The Missouri Golf Association concluded today’s 2024 Senior Series Tour Championship at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, crowning champions across ten divisions. A field of 72 senior golfers who earned their spots through strong performances throughout the season competed in a two-day event marked by shifting leads and standout performances.

In the 50-54 Open Division, Tod Rose (West Plains) continued his strong performance from Round 1, securing the title with a 3-over, 75 in Round 2 for a total gross score of 3-over, 147, winning the division by an impressive 13 strokes.

The 55-59 Open Division saw David Pfeil (Eureka) stage a comeback to claim first place with a total gross score of 10-over, 154. Pfeil, who shot 5-over, 77 in both rounds, overtook Round 1 leader Bobby Godwin (Poplar Bluff) to finish on top.

Tim Holmes (Springfield) emerged as the 60-64 Open Division winner, shooting a steady 1-over, 73 today, bringing his total to 1-over, 145. Holmes dominated the field, winning by nine strokes.

The 65-69 Open Division ended in a tie between Bobby McKay (Joplin) and Dennis Osborne (Ballwin), both finishing with a total gross score of 14-over, 158. Osborne closed the gap in Round 2, shooting 8-over, 80 compared to McKay’s 9-over, 81, resulting in a shared title.

In the 70+ Open Division, Don Kuehn (Kansas City) and Robert Trittler (Wentzville) finished neck-and-neck at 4-over, 148. Trittler recorded the low round of the day with a 1-under, 71, improving his score by six strokes from Round 1 to tie Kuehn, who shot 3-over, 75.

In the Net divisions, Tim Borman (Kingdom City) held onto his lead in the 50-58 Net Division, shooting a 4-over, 76 today for a total net score of 5-over, 149.

The 59-64 Net Division had a new champion emerge as Mike Domenick (Festus) posted an impressive 3-under, 69 today, taking the top spot with a total net score of 1-under, 143.

Ron Hogue (Springfield) claimed the 65-69 Net Division title with a solid even-par, 72 in Round 2, finishing with a total net score of 7-over, 151.

The 70-74 Net Division saw a dramatic turnaround as Marvin Frazier (Festus) climbed the leaderboard with a 5-under, 67 in the final round, finishing with a total net score of 4-over, 148 to secure the victory.

In the 75+ Net Division, Charles Kaiser (Jefferson City) clinched the division title despite shooting 5-over, 77 today, finishing with a total net score of 4-over, 148.

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (October 1, 2024) – The Missouri Golf Association kicked off the first day of the Senior Series Tour Championship today at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club. A total of 72 senior golfers, who earned their invitations through participation and performance in Senior Series events throughout the season, are competing for their respective division titles over the two-day championship.

Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, a par-72 course stretching 7,065 yards from the tips, is a test of skill with its 45 white sand bunkers, water hazards on nine holes, and tree-lined fairways. 

The championship features five divisions of Gross flights and five divisions of Net flights, with course yardages ranging from 6,000 to 6,500 yards depending on age and division. Day 1 began with an afternoon shotgun start, setting the stage for competitive play.

In the 50-54 Open Division, Tod Rose (West Plains) leads after shooting an even par, 72, recording four birdies during his round. 

Bobby Godwin (Poplar Bluff) sits atop the leaderboard in the 55-59 Open Division with a score of 4-over, 76, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 7th hole.

Tim Holmes (Springfield) leads the 60-64 Open Division at even par, 72, having made five birdies during his round. 

In the 65-69 Open Division, Bobby McKay (Joplin) holds the lead at 5-over, 77, supported by four birdies. 

Don Kuehn (Kansas City) leads the 70+ Open Division after shooting a 1-over, 73, with three birdies on his scorecard.

In the Net divisions, which have handicap strokes applied, Tim Borman (Kingdom City) leads the 50-58 Net Division with a score of 1-over, 73. 

Doug Grooms (Camdenton) is ahead in the 59-64 Net Division with a 3-under, 69. 

Leo Beardslee (Raytown) leads the 65-69 Net Division with a 2-over, 74.

William Hubble (Camdenton) sits on top of the leaderboard in the 70-74 Net Division with a 4-over, 76, while Charles Kaiser (Jefferson City) leads the 75+ Net Division with a score of 1-under, 71.

Round 2 will begin tomorrow morning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., where players will have one final opportunity to make a move on the leaderboard and vie for the Tour Championship title in their division.
