JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (Date) – The Missouri Golf Association is proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Missouri Junior Tour (MJT) Player of the Year awards. The MJT provides opportunities for golfers of all ages and skill levels, with a points system that rewards consistent performance throughout the season.
Competitors accumulated points based on their finishes, with only their top five performances counting towards the season standings.
The Lake of the Ozarks Golf Trail, managed by the Lake of the Ozarks Golf Council, proudly sponsors the Missouri Junior Tour. The trail, renowned for its stunning courses carved from Missouri’s Ozark Hills, has earned accolades including “The Best Vacation Spot in Missouri” and features 10 of the top 20 golf courses in the state.
16-18 Boys: Teagen Hull
Teagen Hull from Eldon has earned the title of MJT Player of the Year in the 16-18 Boys division. Hull, who joined the Western Illinois University Golf Team this fall, participated in four MJT events this season and won all of them. His impressive performances include a 4-under, 68 at Eldon Golf Club, a 1-over, 73 at Tanglewood Golf Course, a 2-under, 70 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, and a 1-under, 69 at Sedalia Country Club.
16-18 Girls: Avery Wells
Eldon’s Avery Wells has been named the MJT Player of the Year in the 16-18 Girls division. Wells, a senior at Eldon High School, excelled in five MJT events this season, securing first place or tying for first in each tournament. Her standout performances include a 5-over, 77 at Lake Valley Golf Club and a 2-over, 73 at Lake of the Woods Golf Course.
14-15 Boys: Lake Bennett
Lake Bennett of Linn has been honored as the MJT Player of the Year in the 14-15 Boys division. Bennett participated in six MJT events and achieved top finishes in five of them. His notable performances include a 2-under, 70 at Lake Valley Golf Club and a 4-over, 74 at Sedalia Country Club.
14-15 Girls (18 Holes): Haven Evers
In the 14-15 Girls 18-Hole division, Haven Evers from Eldon has earned the MJT Player of the Year title. Evers participated in eight events, winning five of them. Her victories include an even-par, 72 at Eldon Golf Club and an 8-over, 78 at Oak Hills Golf Center.
14-15 Girls (9 Holes): Gabby Anderson
Gabby Anderson from Columbia has been named the MJT Player of the Year in the 14-15 Girls 9-Hole division. Anderson competed in our MJT events at Heritage Hills Golf Course, Tanglewood Golf Course, and Oak Hills Golf Center this season.
12-13 Boys (18 Holes): Blaine Munzlinger
Blaine Munzlinger from Columbia has been named the MJT Player of the Year in the 12-13 Boys 18-Hole division. Munzlinger participated in eight events, winning five. Highlights from his season include a 71 at Hail Ridge Golf Course and a 2-over, 74 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club.
12-13 Boys (9 Holes): Samuel Kampeter
Samuel Kampeter from Jefferson City is the MJT Player of the Year in the 12-13 Boys 9-Hole division. Kampeter competed in seven events, securing first place in three of them. One of his notable finishes was a 10-over, 46 at Oak Hills Golf Center.
10-13 Girls: Drew Maze
Drew Maze from Columbia has achieved the title of MJT Player of the Year in the 10-13 Girls division. Maze participated in eight events, winning or tying for first in six of them. Her standout performances include a 3-over, 39 at Tanglewood Golf Course and a 9-over, 45 at Hail Ridge Golf Course.
10-11 Boys: Tyson Strupp
Tyson Strupp from Columbia is the MJT Player of the Year in the 10-11 Boys division. Strupp competed in six events, winning or tying for first in four of them. His victories include a 1-over, 37 at Hail Ridge Golf Course and a 2-over, 38 at Tanglewood Golf Course.
8-9 Girls: Emerson Munzlinger
At just seven years old, Emerson Munzlinger from Columbia has been named the MJT Player of the Year in the 8-9 Girls division. Munzlinger participated in eight events, winning six of them. Her impressive performances include a 16-over, 52 at Oak Hills Golf Center and a 12-over, 48 at Lake of the Woods Golf Course.
8-9 Boys: Logan Knaebel
Logan Knaebel from Columbia has been honored as the MJT Player of the Year in the 8-9 Boys division. Knaebel participated in seven MJT tournaments this season and won all seven. His spotless record includes a 1-over, 36 at Sedalia Country Club and a 2-over, 38 at Lake of the Woods Golf Course.
The Missouri Junior Tour continues to provide valuable opportunities for young golfers of all ages and skill levels, and the MJT Players of the Year exemplify the dedication and growth that define the tour. Congratulations to all the winners for their achievements this season!

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.
The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club. Four years later, the invite-only Missouri Amateur was held in Kansas City at Evanston Club. 1911 marked the real organization of the MGA with Bonner Miller as Secretary and Executive Director. Ever since then, the MGA has striven to provide tournaments and spaces for Missouri golfers to sharpen their skills and enjoy the game.
