NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. (July 22, 2024) – The Missouri Junior Tour made an exciting stop today at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield. The course, a par 72, offered a challenging yet rewarding experience for the 93 junior golfers competing in various age groups.
Meadow Lake Acres Country Club is renowned for its exceptional layout, featuring 45 white sand bunkers and water hazards on nine holes. The course’s tree-lined zoysia fairways and bent grass greens provided a robust test for golfers of all skill levels. A standout feature is the Par 3, Number 6, considered by many members to be the course’s signature hole. Meadow Lake Acres is often hailed as the best-kept secret in the state.
In the 16-18 Boys division, Teagen Hull (Eldon) secured first place with a score of 2-under, 70, recording five birdies, four of which came on the back nine, and only three bogeys. Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) and Jackson Marcee (St. James) tied for second at even par, 72. Atnip had a birdie and an eagle, while Marcee had five birdies. Marcee won the chip-off for the silver medal, and Atnip took bronze.
The 16-18 Girls division saw Avery Wells (Eldon) and Audrey Smith (Rolla) tied for first at 9-over, 81. Wells won the chip-off for the gold, with Smith taking home the silver. Mia McGraw finished in third place.
In the 14-15 Boys division, Crue Michel (Sunrise Beach) and Jackson Bennett (Eldon) tied for first at 8-over, 80, with Bennett present to receive the gold medal. Lake Bennett (Linn) and Hunter Hovis (Jefferson City) tied for third at 9-over, 81, with Lake winning the chip-off for the bronze medal.
The 14-15 Girls 18 Hole division was won by Haven Evers (Eldon) with a score of 10-over, 82. Aliyah Simmons (Columbia) took second place with 20-over, 92, and Anna Boyd (California) finished third with 23-over, 95.
In the 14-15 Girls 9 Hole division, Rose Reeves (West Plains) won with a score of 17-over, 53.
Blaine Munzlinger (Columbia) emerged victorious in the 12-13 Boys 18 Hole division with a score of 2-over, 74, including two birdies. Graham Henley (Eldon) finished second at 3-over, 75, with three birdies, and Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) took third with 13-over, 85.
The 12-13 Boys 9 Hole division saw Samuel Kampeter (Jefferson City) win with a score of 12-over, 48. Grant Darr (Kirksville) finished second at 15-over, 51, and Joel Lueckenhoff took third with 17-over, 53.
In the 10-13 Girls division, Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) triumphed with a score of 7-over, 43. McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) finished second at 8-over, 44. Drew Maze (Columbia) and Lily Caudle (Holts Summit) tied for third at 12-over, 48, with Maze winning the chip-off for the bronze medal.
Hunter Brown (Washington) won the 10-11 Boys division with a score of 4-over, 40. Tyson Strupp (Columbia) took second place with 7-over, 43, and Greyson Stephens (Adrian) finished third with 8-over, 44.
In the 8-9 Girls division, Emerson Munzlinger (Columbia) secured first place with a score of 11-over, 47, including a birdie on hole 10. Reagan Sears (Columbia) finished second at 17-over, 53, and Allison Knaebel (Columbia) took third with 23-over, 59.
Logan Knaebel (Columbia) won the 8-9 Boys division with a score of 3-over, 39, recording two birdies during his round. Ralston Maupin (Fulton) finished second at 5-over, 41.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
