CAMDENTON, Mo. (July 22, 2024) – The MGA hosted a Senior Series event today at Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton. The par-72 course saw a total of 82 senior golfers compete in a round of stroke play under perfect golfing conditions.

Lake Valley Golf Club, located near Camdenton and just a short drive from Osage Beach in the Lake of the Ozarks region, is an 18-hole championship golf course. Designed in 1967, the course features a unique six par-3, six par-4, and six par-5 layout that offers something for every skill level of golfer. With generous Bermuda fairways and quick, undulating greens, the course provides a scenic and memorable golf experience. Lake Valley welcomes public play and hosts numerous tournaments and group outings throughout the year, making it a beloved destination for golfers.

Senior Series events are open to male golfers who are members of the MGA and are 50 years of age or older. Competitors are divided into flights based on their age as of April 22, 2024.

In the 50-54 Open division, Darin Baldwin (Warrensburg) claimed the top spot with a score of 1-under, 71, achieving five birdies. 

David Pfeil (Eureka) emerged victorious in the 55-59 Open division, finishing at 1-over, 73, with two birdies. 

David Rudd (Wildwood) took the lead in the 60-64 Open division, shooting an impressive 1-under, 71, with six birdies. 

Mike O’Neil (St. Louis) earned the top position in the 65-69 Open flight with a score of 5-over, 77, making three birdies during his round. 

Robert Trittler (Wentzville) won the 70+ Open flight with a score of 1-under, 71, also achieving six birdies during his round.

In the net flights, handicap strokes are deducted from the final scores. 

Dan Campbell (Jefferson City) won the 50-58 Net flight with a score of 2-under, 70. 

Tony Farris (Fulton) earned first place in the 59-64 Net flight with a score of 1-over, 73. 

Kevin Kluge (Florissant) recorded an even par, 72, to win the 65-69 Net flight. 

Dana Elwell (Nixa) took the top spot in the 70-74 Net flight with a score of 1-under, 71. 

Finally, Thomas Allen (Wildwood) claimed victory in the 75+ Net group, finishing with a score of 1-under, 71.
