MOBERLY, Mo. (June 17, 2024) – Today, Heritage Hills Golf Course in Moberly hosted the third Missouri Junior Tour event of the season, sponsored by Lake of the Ozarks Golf Trail. A total of 67 junior golfers from various age groups competed for the top spot in their division.
In the 16-18 Male flight, brothers Chayton and Chancen Jordan (Rolla) tied for first place, both scoring a commendable 3-over-par, 73. Chayton emerged victorious in the chip-off to secure the gold medal, while Chancen took home the silver. Hagan Ritter (Macon) finished third with a score of 4-over, 74.
Catherine Fallis (Columbia) dominated the 16-18 Female flight, winning with a score of 3-over, 73. Audrey Smith (Rolla) claimed second place with an 11-over, 81, and Breckyn Shewmake (Hartsburg) rounded out the top three with a 23-over, 93.
In the 14-15 Male flight, Blayne Altermatt (Mountain View) clinched the top spot with a score of 5-over 75. Crue Michel (Sunrise Beach) followed closely in second place with a 7-over, 77. Ethan Bartles (Springfield) and Kaden Massie (Ashland) tied for third at 8-over, 78, with Bartles winning the chip-off for the bronze.
Rylee Allred (Ash Grove) triumphed in the 14-15 18-hole Female flight, shooting a 10-over, 80. Haven Evers (Eldon) secured second place with a 15-over, 85, and Claire Sinnett (Jefferson City) earned third with a 21-over, 91.
In the 12-13 Male 18-hole flight, Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) took first place with a score of 15-over, 85. Cash Smith (Columbia) followed in second with a 16-over, 86, while Derrick Douglass (Jefferson City) finished third with a 25-over, 95.
The following flights played nine holes of stroke play:
Camdyn Jones (Knob Noster) won the 14-15 Female 9-hole flight with a score of 19-over, 54. Gabby Anderson (Columbia) took home silver after firing 23-over, 58.
Maxwell Sutton (Springfield) triumphed in the 12-13 Male 9-hole flight at 3-over-par, 38. Grant Darr (Kirksville) secured second place with a score of 13-over, 48
Ashtyn Shaw (Jefferson City) won the 10-13 Female flight, shooting a 5-over, 40. Drew Maze (Columbia) and Kylee Fish (Huntsville) tied for second at 6-over, 41, with Maze winning the chip-off for second place.
Tyson Strupp (Columbia) took first place in the 10-11 Male flight with a score of 3-over, 38. Hunter Brown (Washington) earned silver with a 6-over, 41, and Finn Hutchison (Mokane) finished third with a 7-over, 42.
Brady Shivers (Jefferson City) won the 8-9 male division with a score of 23-over, 58, and Allison Knaebel claimed the 8-9 Female division after shooting 27-over, 62.

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.
The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club. Four years later, the invite-only Missouri Amateur was held in Kansas City at Evanston Club. 1911 marked the real organization of the MGA with Bonner Miller as Secretary and Executive Director.
