JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (Feb. 1, 2024) – The Missouri Golf Association is excited to announce that it will host an MGA Ladies Series in the 2024 season. This series will consist of one day events held at courses across the state.
Each one day competition will be a partner event – one stableford, one best ball and one shamble.
MGA points will be awarded at each event, which will contribute to Player of the Year, Women’s Fore State, Girls Four State and Girls Southern Junior Cup.
“We are so excited to add these events in 2024 for our ladies! Moving forward, our goal is to provide more competitive opportunities to female golfers in Missouri and adding to the MGA championship season,” MGA Director of Competitions Michelle Parrish said, “These events are a great step moving forward as we continue to help grow the women’s game!”
There will be three Ladies’ Series events this season:
- Silo Ridge Country Club, Bolivar – June 4 (stableford)
- Tanglewood Golf Course, Fulton – July 11 (shamble)
- Sedalia Country Club, Sedalia – Aug. 19 (four ball)
In 2024, the Missouri Golf Association is making an effort to expand women’s golf in the state of Missouri. By adding these new ladies’ events to the 2024 competition schedule, the MGA hopes to promote more competition and socialization among female golfers in the state.
MGA members can register for the Ladies Series on March 5, 2024 at 9 a.m. when registration for all MGA events will open.
