FULTON, Mo. – Today, Aug. 8, 2023, the Missouri Golf Association held a Senior Series Tour event at Tanglewood Golf Course in Fulton, Missouri. A total of 78 senior golfers divided into flights by age competed in today’s round of stroke play.

Senior Series events are open to male golfers who are members of the MGA and 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 17, 2023. 

In the 50-54 Open division, Brad Thielmier (Poplar Bluff) and Darin Baldwin (Warrensburg) tied for first place, both shooting one under, 71.

Robert Godwin (Poplar Bluff) had the lowest score in the 55-59 Open division at three under, 69. 

David Rudd (Wildwood) won the 60-64 Open flight with a score of five under, 67.

Tony Brown (St. Louis) was the winner of the 65-69 Open division after shooting par, 72.

Finally, the 70+ Open flight saw a tie between Ron Eilers (Columbia) and Robert Trittler (Wentzville) for first – both golfers shot three under, 69.

The following net flights have handicap strokes deducted from final scores.

Tim Borman (Kingdom City) and Shane Talbert (Fulton) tied for first in the 50-58 Net flight, both shooting six under, 66.

George Barkho (Fulton) led the 59-64 Net division with a score of four under, 68.

In the 65-69 Net flight, Joe Brown (St. Joseph) shot four under, 68, to win the division.

Terry Souchek (Columbia) came out on top of the 70-74 Net group at six under, 66.

Lastly, Charles Kaiser (Jefferson City) won the 75+ Net flight at two over, 74.
