CAMDENTON, Mo. – Today, July 17, 2023, the Missouri Junior Tour held its eighth event of the season at Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton, Missouri. In total, 89 golfers divided into age divisions played a round of stroke play.
The following flights played 18 Hole Stroke Play:
Dylan Bryan (Jefferson City) won the 16-18 Male flight with a score of one under, 71. Britt Coy (Carthage) shot par, 72, earning second place. Owen Derryberry (Carthage) and Max Templeman (Carthage) both shot one over, 73, tying for third place. A playoff was held, and Derryberry ultimately placed third.
Avery Wells (Eldon) was the winner of the 16-18 Female division with a score of 13 over, 85. Sophie Hinds (Jefferson City) was right behind at 14 over, 86, for second place, and Audrey Smith (Rolla) took home third at 19 over, 91.
In the 14-15 Male division, Chancen Jordan (Rolla) earned first place at seven over, 79. Brody Rader (Eldon) followed in second at nine over, 81, and Lake Bennett (Linn) won third place with a score of 11 over, 83.
Charlotte Fischer (Sedalia) won the 14-15 Female group with a score of 18 over, 90. Haven Evers (Eldon) came in second place at 29 over, 101, and Lily Henley (Eldon) earned third place with a score of 30 over, 102.
In the 12-13 Male 18 hole division, Ty Brandt (Jefferson City) won with a score of five over, 77. Jackson Bennett (Eldon) earned second place at 11 over, 83, and Hunter Hovis (Jefferson City) shot 18 over, 90, for third place.
The following flights played 9 Hole Stroke Play:
Luke McGrath (Camdenton) won the 12-13 Male 9-hole flight, firing five over, 41. Seth Duncan (Osage Beach) came in second place at eight over, 44. And three players tied for third place, all shooting nine over, 45: Gavin Brand (Jefferson City), Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) and Graham Henley (Eldon). A playoff was held for third place, with Brand winning.
McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) was the winner of the 10-13 Female flight, shooting 10 over, 46. Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) earned second place with a score of 14 over, 50, and Kimber Bennett (Linn) placed third at 20 over, 56.
In the 10-11 Male division, Hunter Brown (Washington) came out on top with a score of five over, 41. Jagger Glaze (Eldon) and Brock Jernigan (Lebanon) tied for second place, both shooting seven over, 43. A playoff was held, with Glaze taking second place and Jernigan taking third.
We had just one competitor in the 8-9 Male flight. Logan Knaebel (Columbia) finished with a score of 10 over, 46.
And there was also just one competitor in the 8-9 Female division. Allison Knaebel (Columbia) shot 33 over, 69, for the day.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
