JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Today, June 21, 2023, the Missouri Junior Tour held its fourth event of the season at Oak Hills Golf Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. Divided by age into flights, 87 junior golfers gathered at Oak Hills for a round of stroke play.

The following flights played 18 Hole Stroke Play:

Dylan Bryan (Jefferson City) won the 16-18 Male flight after shooting four over, 74. Two players tied for second place at seven over, 77 – Sam Kliethermes (Jefferson City) and Jacob Anderson (Ashland). Anderson won the playoff and secured second place, putting Kliethermes in third.

Sophie Hinds (Jefferson City) is the winner of the 16-18 Female division with a score of 16 over, 86. Flynn Hamilton (Jefferson City) shot 26 over, 96, for second place and Autumn Allen (Eldon) earned third place at 37 over, 107.

In the 14-15 Male division, Hagan Ritter (Macon) and Michael Atnip (Jefferson City) tied for first place, both shooting six over, 76. A playoff was held, with Ritter securing first place and Atnip taking second. Eli Hutchison (Mokane) followed them in third place at nine over, 79.

Haven Evers (Eldon) earned first place in the 14-15 Female group with a score of 19 over, 89, and Madison Wolf (Saint Peters) took home second place at 24 over, 94. India Arauz (Lake Ozark) came in third place after shooting 38 over, 108.

In the 12-13 Male 18 hole division, Ty Brandt (Jefferson City) came out on top after shooting nine over, 79, for the day. Bubba McGraw (Jefferson City) followed in second place with a score of 16 over, 86, and Kaleb Nichols (Hartsburg) came in third at 17 over, 87.

The following flights played 9 Hole Stroke Play:

Jack Sinnett (Jefferson City) won the 12-13 Male 9-hole flight with a score of four over, 40. Graham Henley (Eldon) earned second at seven over, 43. Seth Duncan (Osage Beach) earned third place after shooting 11 over, 47.

Elly Wilson (Jefferson City) is the winner of the 10-13 Female flight. She shot 18 over par, 54. Ashlyn Sears (Columbia) followed in second place at 20 over, 56, and Lily Caudle (Holt’s Summit) came in third at 25 over, 61.

Competition was extremely tight in the 10-11 Male division! Four players tied for first place, each one shooting 10 over, 46: Jagger Glaze (Eldon), Eli Moss (Sedalia), Cooper Frey (Eldon) and Finn Hutchison (Mokane). A tiebreaker was held among the four boys, with Frey earning first place, Glaze in second and Moss winning third.

In the 8-9 Male flight, Henry Russell (Fulton) had the lowest score of five over, 39. Graeme Atteberry (Jefferson City) came in second place at 18 over, 52.

Lastly, Reagan Sears (Columbia) won the 8-9 Female group at 30 over, 66. Abigail Neeley (Wardsville) took home second place with a score of 32 over, 68.

The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club.
