COLUMBIA, Mo. – Today, June 19, 2023, the Missouri Junior Tour continued with a round at L A Nickell Golf Course in Columbia, Missouri. Divided by age into flights, 62 junior golfers competed against their peers.

The following flights played 18 Hole Stroke Play:

Jackson Marcee (St. James) won the 16-18 Male flight after shooting five over, 75. Two players were right behind him and tied for second place at six over, 76 – Graham Hoffman (Columbia) and Gaines Rooney (Columbia). Hoffman won the playoff and secured second place, putting Rooney in third.

Savannah Thessing (Nixa) is the winner of the 16-18 Female division with an impressive score of two under, 68. Jaycie Lowery (Jefferson City) shot 11 over, 81, for second place and Sophie Hinds (Jefferson City) earned third place at 12 over, 82.

In the 14-15 Male division, Kaden Massie (Ashland) pulled out a narrow win after firing a six over, 76. Hagan Ritter (Macon) and Levi Baumgartner (Ashland) tied for second place, both shooting seven over, 77. A playoff was held, with Baumgartner taking home second and Ritter finishing in third.

There were just two finishers in the 14-15 Female flight. Haven Evers (Eldon) earned first place with a score of 15 over, 85, and Madison Wolf (Saint Peters) took home second place at 27 over, 97.

In the 12-13 Male 18 hole division, Ty Brandt (Jefferson City) came out on top after shooting seven over, 77, for the day. Crue Michel (Sunrise Beach) won second place at 10 over, 80, and Kaleb Nichols (Hartsburg) rounded out the podium in third with a score of 18 over, 88.

The following flights played 9 Hole Stroke Play:

Seth Duncan (Osage Beach) won the 12-13 Male 9-hole flight with a score of 12 over, 47. Lyle Marty (Centralia) earned second at 13 over, 48. Ben Bruemmer (Jefferson City) and Samuel Kampeter (Jefferson City) tied for third place in this flight with scores of 19 over, 54. Kampeter won a playoff, earning third place.

Drew Maze (Columbia) is the winner of the 10-13 Female flight. She shot eight over par, 43. McKenzie Martin (Jefferson City) followed in second place at 11 over, 46, and Ashlyn Sears (Columbia) came in third at 18 over, 53.

Hunter Brown (Washington) won the 10-11 Male division with a solid score of four over, 39. Brock Jernigan (Lebanon) earned second place after firing a 13 over, 48, and Calvin Sears (Columbia) took home third place with a score of 14 over, 49.

Only one competitor made up the 8-9 Male division – congratulations to Henry Russell (Fulton) on a great round! He finished with a score of three over, 38.

Lastly, Eva Wilson (Jefferson City) won the 8-9 Female group at 16 over, 51. Reagan Sears (Columbia) came in second place with a score of 28 over, 63.

The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship. Four founding clubs would be the ones in existence in St. Louis in those early years – St. Louis Country Club, Algonquin Golf Club, Glen Echo Golf Club and Normandie Golf Club.
