HOLLISTER, Mo. – Today, Aug. 23, the second round of a Senior Series Event was held at Buffalo Ridge Course at Big Cedar Lodge in Hollister. Starting with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, 89 senior golfers competed for the winning title in their age division. Their scores from day one of the event at Ozarks National Golf Course carried over to today’s play.
Senior Series events are open to golfers who are members of the MGA and are 50 years of age or older. Competitors compete in flights based on their age as of April 18, 2022.
In the 50-54 Open flight, Sean McQueary (Springfield) maintained his round one lead and finished in first at five over, 147 (76, 71).
Tom Barry (St. Louis) also kept his lead from round one to win the 55-59 Open flight with a score of one over, 143 (70, 73).
In the 60-64 Open flight, day one leader David Rudd (Wildwood) took home the title after shooting 11 over, 153 (74, 79).
Russ Trippensee (Jefferson City) also stayed on top through both rounds and won the 65-69 Open flight at 12 over, 154 (78, 76).
Finally, Robert Trittler (Wentzville) improved on his round one second place finish to win the 70+ Open flight with a gross score of one over, 143 (76, 67).
Terry Inman (Nixa) won the 50-54 Net flight with a score of 15 over, 157 (82, 75).
Steven Cameron (Miller) finished round one tied for first in the 55-59 Net division, and pulled ahead in round two to win the flight at two under, 140 (72, 68).
Dave Pingel (Hartsburg) maintained his day one lead to win the 60-64 Net flight after shooting two over, 144 (74, 70).
There was a tie for first in the 65-69 Net division between Arnold Bailey (Linn) (72, 72) and Terry Farmer (Warrensburg) (75, 69), who both shot two over, 144.
Lastly, Charles Kaiser (Jefferson City) pulled ahead in the 70+ Open flight to win the division at two under, 140 (72, 68).

Leading the 50-54 Open flight, Sean McQueary (Springfield) shot five over par, 76.
The front runner of the 55-59 Open flight is Tom Barry (St. Louis) at one under, 70.
David Rudd (Wildwood) is in first in the 60-64 Open flight at three over, 74.
Russ Trippensee (Jefferson City) is winning the 65-69 Open flight after shooting seven over, 78.
Finally, Gerald Siemons (Jefferson City) holds the lead in the 70+ Open flight at one over par, 72.
Terry Inman (Nixa) is in first in the 50-54 Net flight after shooting 11 over, 82.
Two players are tied for the lead in the 55-59 Net flight at one over, 72: Steven Cameron (Miller) and Mike Leone (Kansas City).
Dave Pingel (Hartsburg) is the leader of the 60-64 Net flight at three over, 74.
In the 65-69 Net flight, Arnold Bailey (Linn) is on top after shooting one over, 72.
Lastly, the 70+ Net flight ended in a tie for first with both Charles Kaiser (Jefferson City) and Lee Larscheid (Kansas City) finishing at one over, 72.

The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri. The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
