POPLAR BLUFF, MO. – The Missouri Amateur Qualifier at Westwood Hills Country Club in Poplar Bluff, Mo took place today, June 8. 

Ian Lambert (Jackson) and Spencer Warren (Dexter) tied for the lowest score of the day with one under par, 70. 

The top eight players, and two alternates, qualified for the MO Amateur Tournament taking place at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis on June 20-25. 

The cut to qualify was 1 over par, 72. Five players faced off for the final 3 slots with Blake Driskell (Jackson), Chris Martin (Rolla) and Alexander Wiseman (Poplar Bluff) clinching the spots. 

The first alternate is Ben Brumitt (Poplar Bluff) and the second is Kent Phillips (Cape Girardeau).

ABOUT MGA: The Missouri Golf Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the best interests and true spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Missouri.

The Missouri Golf Association was started in St. Louis in 1905 to run the Amateur Championship.
