KANSAS CITY – Nicklaus Mason from Shawnee came out on top today at the Oakwood Qualifier at Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City. Mason finished with a score of 3-under par, 69. 

Tragdon McCrae (Plainville) and Hudson Dubinski (Columbia) tied for the second lowest score of the day after shooting par.

The top 18 players, plus two alternates, qualified for the 115th annual Missouri Amateur Championship, which will take place at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis on June 20-25. The cut to qualify was 6-over par, 78, with a playoff occurring to determine who would be the final player to make the cut. Nicholas Sheppard (Springfield) was the 18th player to make the cut, with Tanner Collins (Kansas City) taking the first alternate spot and Jared King (Shawnee) taking the second.
