Shelby Henderson, Columbia

We are so proud to announce that Shelby Henderson has accepted the full-time position of Media, Marketing, and Communications Director. Shelby graduated in May from University of Missouri School of Journalism with her Bachelor of Journalism – Strategic Communications degree and she will graduate in December with a Master of Journalism degree. Besides her full schedule she is the Graduate Teaching Assistant where she assists in two undergraduate journalism courses, both with over 70 students, one of which is the highest PR class at Mizzou.

Before attending Mizzou Shelby graduated from Bolivar High School. She was the editor-in-chief of her school’s yearbook and she has published work in Bolivar’s local newspaper, the Bolivar Herald-Free Press. She was a member of the National Honor Society and is president of her school’s Foreign Language Club.

This position is new for the Missouri Golf Association! We are looking forward to Shelby taking the lead to create, manage and develop delivery of our media, marketing, and communications channels to help promote and support the mission of the organization. She will develop, plan, and promote the organization’s activities and services.
