CAMDENTON — Day one of the 27th MGA Senior 4 Ball Championship tournament was completed Tuesday at Lake Valley Golf Club in Camdenton. Similar to the Round One format, Wednesday’s divisions will be Championship, Super Senior, Net 50-59, Net 60-69 and Net 70+.
Steve Ball (Rocheport) and Mike Wilson (Columbia) lead the field after round one, carding a 7-under 64. The pair holds a one-shot lead over Ed Brown/Chuck Admire and Tom Portner/Brian Lovett.
MGA Hall of Famer Don Bliss shot a hole-in-one on the third hole during his Tuesday round. He will begin Wednesday’s final round in first place in the Super Senior division after shooting a 5-under 66 with his partner Dennis Osborne.
In the Net 50-59, Dan Leubbert and Kurt Mueller lead at 7-under, while in the Net 60-69, Danny Bumgartner and Stanley Mantle also lead with the same score. In the Net 70+ division, Bert Kimble and Duane Schreimann lead at 4-under.
Round two will run with 10-minute staggered tee times beginning at 7:15 a.m. and concluding with the final group teeing off at 1:45 p.m.
