Silo Ridge is absolutely a great course! It’s in immaculate condition but they have had a bunch of rain over the last week and it continued again this morning. The groups were called in at 8:15 because of lightening and then a down poor but were back out again at 10. Turned out to be a beautiful but very windy day.
Kathy Glennon, St Albans shot the low round on day 1 of 74 with birdies on the par 5, 6 and par 4, 9 in the Championship flight. Sheri Rehmer, pictured below, Lee’s Summit shot a 79 in the Open Flight Round 1.

The day started much like round 1, showers and lightening in the morning which pushed play up to 9 AM. Silo’s course drains so well that they were allowed to get off the paths on most of the holes.
