December 10, 1923 – March 8, 2014

“Ken Lanning was the founder and leader of the Missouri Junior Golf Association.  Teaching kids to play the game of golf was his passion.  Mr. Lanning is the reason for the success of many great golfers that have played golf in Missouri.

He would conduct junior golf tournaments all over the state each year and he is the reason that the MGA started offering junior events.

I don’t think anyone will ever compare to what Ken Lanning means to golf in Missouri.  The Missouri Golf Association is what it is today because of this great man.”  Scott Hovis, MGA Executive Director

Mr. Lanning is a member of the MGA Hall of Fame and was an avid golfer himself.
