HANDICAP REQUIREMENT

NEW in 2012, each participant 10 years old and older will need a current GHIN Handicap Index through the GHIN Handicap Program offered by the USGA .  There are two ways to sign up for the GHIN Handicap Services, with the first and your best option being through your home course or club and the second is through the e-club link on the MGA website, https://www.mogolf.org/.  Our preference is for you to sign up through your home course, however if that is not available to you or your home course does not offer the GHIN Program, the e-club is your best option.  If you should have any questions or need assistance please feel free to contact me at the MGA office.

JUNIOR MATCH PLAY OPEN TO MALES AND FEMALES

NEW in 2012, the MGA Junior Match Play Championship is now open to all Female Golfers ages 14-18.  Female golfers will be competing in their own divisions.

FOUR STATE JUNIOR CUP MATCHES

Also, NEW in 2012 the MGA will participate in a Four State Junior Cup Matches with Arkansas, Mississippi and Oklahoma.  The Junior Cup Match team will be comprised of 6 male and 6 female junior players, selected from the MGA Junior Point Standings, and will play a Rider Cup format against the other states.  The Cup Matches in 2012 will be conducted at the Hot Springs Country Club, Hot Springs, Arkansas on August 3rd through August 5th.  The format will be foursome, four ball and individual match play for the event.

As stated, the selection of the team will be based on the point standings with the top six females and males being selected for inclusion on the Missouri Team.  The Missouri Golf Association will provide the lodging, food, team shirts and other apparel for the team.

In an effort to afford all juniors a chance to qualify for the team, all MGA Junior Events, except for the Collegiate Preview are open to male and female juniors beginning in 2012.
