We’re pleased to announce that PLAY9™ Day is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29, 2015.

As you know, we introduced PLAY9 Day at the 2014 U.S. Open Championships to rally golfers of all skill and interest levels around the nine-hole round as a popular way to inspire more play. We appreciated your efforts to communicate and promote last year’s PLAY9 Day and we thank you in advance for your support again this year.

PLAY9 is an exciting, accessible approach to encouraging golf participation that is gaining momentum. In a recent study conducted by the USGA, 60% of golfers perceive the nine-hole round as a great way to introduce non-golfers to the game, while the number of nine-hole rounds posted to GHIN in June and July of 2014 increased by 13% from the previous year.

Starting in late May and sparked by the excitement of this year’s extensive coverage of USGA Championships on FOX Sports, the USGA in partnership with American Express will once again deploy a national awareness campaign in support of PLAY9 Day.
