Berendzen_HannaHANNA BERENDZEN graduated in 2014 from Helias Catholic High School, Jefferson City and currently attends Lincoln University. This will be Hanna’s third season with the MGA as a Boatwright Intern. We are thrilled to have her back with us! Hanna enjoys playing golf on the Lincoln Univ. golf team and playing when she can with family and friends. Her goal for the future is to continue with what she has learned over the years at the MGA at a higher level either with the USGA, LPGA or the AJGA.

 

 

 

Blake Henderson smallBLAKE HENDERSON grew up in Chesterfield, MO. He has graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a Minor in Business in 2013. Blake currently attends the University of Dayton School of Law.
“I have an absolute passion for the game of golf, developed during my time as a four-year member of my high school golf team and participation in summer events as well. Ultimately, I would like to combine my education, playing experience, and work experience into a career in professional sports.”

 

 

Holly Swartz small

HOLLY SWARTZ graduated from St. Francis Borgia Regional High School and calls Marthasville, MO home. Holly is not a stranger to the Association as a player and a volunteer.  Holly is a Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship Recipient at the University of Missouri.
“Golf is my life and my passion. From starting to play the summer before my freshman year at Borgia, to caddying the next four years, and finally to receiving the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship to the University of Missouri, my world has revolved around golf. I hope to find employment using my future accounting degree in the golf industry.”

 

 

Haley Bax IMG_3575HALEY BAX graduated from Helias Catholic High School and currently attends the University of Missouri where she will graduate with a Bachelors of Mental Science, Emphasis in Speech Pathology degree.

Haley will be the “Camp Director” for the Ken Lanning Golf Center. She will also hold the “fort” down while we are away at tournaments.  She will be in charge of the daily activities and special events at the golf course. She will be responsible for making sure our donors are aware of what is happening at the KLGC and will be in charge of keeping the website up-to-date and sharing information on all social media platforms. Haley has been very involved in the community as a volunteer to the Special Learning Center, United Way of Central Missouri, and the Samaritan Center. Haley has also participated in the Hearts in Motion Guatemala Mission Trip and enjoys Volleyball.

The Missouri Golf Association, Missouri Junior Golf Foundation and the Missouri Women’s Golf Association will have a total of 48 tournaments that will be administered this season plus the amazing opportunities we will offer to both the young and the very young at heart at our 9-hole Par 3 Ken Lanning Golf Center. (website under construction)  It will be another busy season and there is no way we could do it without our Interns! They are our backbone! Please join us in welcoming them to the team!
